Valid Dispute Procedures
A valid dispute is a legitimate disagreement concerning a purchase, payment, product, service, or transaction that the customer believes requires review.
1. Contact Ghost Modifications First
Customers should contact Ghost Modifications through the official support channel before initiating a payment dispute whenever reasonably possible.
2. Provide Transaction Information
The customer should provide relevant information, including:
- Order or transaction number
- Date of purchase
- Product or service involved
- Description of the issue
- Relevant screenshots or documentation, when applicable
3. Allow Review
Ghost Modifications will review the reported issue and determine whether a correction, replacement, refund, or other resolution is appropriate.
4. Valid Reasons for a Dispute
A dispute may be considered valid when it involves circumstances such as:
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions
- Duplicate charges
- Incorrect billing amounts
- Failure to receive a purchased product or service
- A significant issue with the purchased product or service
- A refund that was approved but not received
- A transaction that was incorrectly processed
5. Chargebacks
Customers should not initiate a chargeback solely to avoid paying for a product they received. Customers who believe a chargeback is necessary should provide accurate information to their payment provider and should not misrepresent the circumstances of the transaction.
6. Fraudulent or Abusive Disputes
Disputes may be considered abusive when a customer intentionally:
- Makes false claims about a transaction
- Claims a legitimate purchase was unauthorized
- Claims a product was not received when it was received
- Uses a chargeback to obtain a product without paying
- Repeatedly files unsupported disputes
Abusive disputes may result in account restrictions, purchase restrictions, or a permanent ban.
7. Final Review
Ghost Modifications reserves the right to review the circumstances surrounding a dispute and take appropriate action based on the available information.
